Not sure where to begin? Simple. Prepare skin for an airbrush spray tan the day before.
~Waxing, pedicures and facials should be done at least one day prior to your tanning session.
~Shave, then exfoliate with an exfoliating scrub. This rids skin of dead cells. Enables the tan to last longer.
~No makeup, perfumes or lotions prior to tanning.
~Deodorants should also be avoided. Spraying over deodorant can result in rings around the armpit. These are difficult to remove.
~Bring dark, loose-fitting clothes and flip flops to wear afterwards.
~Tight clothing can rub a tan completely off. It is recommended to wait at least five hours before putting
on tight clothing.
~If you choose to wear underwear or a bathing suit during the session, it’s best to wear darker colors.
MAKE YOUR TAN LAST UP TO 10 DAYS:
The initial hours after your tanning appointment are the most important.
~Wait 8 to 16 hours before showering. Unless you choose the Accelerated Tan (2 to 4 hours).
~Be careful when washing your hands and other activities that may cause your tan to streak (such as heavy perspiration) until you shower for the first time.
~When showering, use body wash or shower gel and avoid bar soap which contains alkaline.
~You will see color washing off the first time you shower. This is just the bronzer color that was applied. Your skin will continue to tan as the self-tan reaction occurs.
~Taking long, hot baths or soaking in the pool can accelerate exfoliation and fade your tan.
~Avoid exfoliating skin and hair removal products.
~Moisturize twice a day with alcohol-free lotion to hydrate skin. Shea butter is recommended, as it contains no
alcohol. Most common lotions do, which dries the skin and causes the tan to fade more quickly.
~When swimming or soaking in a hot tub, use a waterproof sunscreen to help seal in the color.
